Hello All

From the 6th to the 13th of  October, Milan will become a major international stage for wine as it holds the  Milan Wine Week;  an international event completely dedicated to wine that aims to spread the culture of wine. We are talking about an event dedicated to both industry professionals but also to consumers of all kinds, from the most experienced to the amateur.

What is it about?

This is the second edition of the event; given the great success, the city decided to host it again and transform itself for the occasion. During this week, you can attend seminars (here the link with the complete list), tasting master class with international sommeliers and themed aperitifs.
The heart of the event also for this year is Palazzo Bovara in Corso Venezia 51 where most of the sessions will be held (to date there are already 300 on the calendar) but this year the wine districts also come into play; they are five and are located in various districts of the city. Here’s who they are: Franciacorta, DOC Friuli Venezia Giulia, Protection of Oltrepò Pavese wines, Protection Prosecco Valdobbiadene DOCG, Sardinia region, Consortium Asti DOCG.

The founder view

The founder and president of the event Federico Gordini explained that “Milan Wine Week 2019 wants to be the point of arrival and restart for a new generation of producers, restaurateurs, managers of the wine world, sommeliers, consultants and wine shops who have inherited or built companies that are looking for new languages and new ways of approaching the wine world, and above all they want to be a great opportunity for consumers to give them new keys to reading and getting closer to wine through emotional experiences ”

A beautiful event that is worth visiting

ciao

Ilde
