Pagura Distillery

I am so happy to tell you all about the Pagura Distillery today.

I am particularly close to this small but powerful reality because I have the feeling that with Isis and Mattia (a part of the future of the Distillery) there is a great affinity and vision of the future.

First of all, you arrive in this historic courtyard, maintained with the characteristics of the old Friulian houses and their owners ready to welcome and make you feel at ease.

Here you can breathe the story of a family that for five generations have carrying on the knowledge, the sacrifices of a simple land.

I personally had the feeling that my grandmother Giovannina was present. She was there with her sweet look and her strong character happy to contemplate with pride the outcome  of her work

La Distillery

The Pagura Distillery has a strong personality; with the wonderful alembic from the 900, the ground water and some modern devices,   is able to amaze even palate with its products.

Not far from the Distillation room there is a small barrel room intended for the resting and aging of some grappas.

I approached it in silence, so not to disturb the sweet sleeping nectar, and I took a picture to transfer the magic.

The Grappe

The grappas of the Pagura Distillery are the outcome of collaborations with local producers. In addition to sage and blueberry liqueurs, honey, holly and licorice grappas, the Distillery produces single-variety grappas derived from the pomace of Ribolla Gialla, Friulian, Schioppettino or ucelut grapes that are all native Friulian grapes.

Note of merit must also be recognized to the Piculit Neri and Moscato grappa where both the bottle and the product are extremely elegant.

You might be surprised by tasting them with cheeses.

Pick you favorite from the proposals we have reserved for you and do not forget to watch the video with Mattia and Isis, you can discover some secrets!

Until next time, we will keep drinking some good ones!
