Sausage and stracchino croutons

At the table with these delicious croutons

Hello everyone! Lately I have been cooking the Croutons of sausage and stracchino, a recipe that my aunt has kindly given me.

Here’s how to prepare a hot dish, excellent as an appetizer for a dinner with friends, as an appetizer in a brunch or an aperitif. But even when you do not want to waste a lot of time in the kitchen and want to prepare something gourmand but fast. These croutons are the strong dish of my aunt, simple, delicious and fist of all quick to prepare!

Ingredients for 4-5 people:

3 sausages
A baguette
Extra virgin olive oil
300 grams of stracchino

Procedure:

Peel the sausage and cut it, then cook it in a non-stick pan. While the sausage cools, cut into thin slices the baguette and brush them with extra-virgin olive oil. Once the sausage has cooled, add the stracchino cheese and stir well until you obtain a homogeneous mixture. At this point place a spoonful of the mixture on each slice of baguette. Put them in a preheated oven at 180 degrees and after 10-12 minutes they will be ready to taste!

The simple but tasty taste of these croutons of sausage and stracchino is perfect if paired with wine. Here are some suggestions for the perfect pairings:

Colli Orientali DOC, Merlot – 2014, Nebbiolo d’Alba DOC Mirine’ -2015 ;  if you are eating the croutons as a tasty starter try the Franciacorta Brut DOCG.
