The Wine
The Pinot Grigio from the Vigna Lenuzza winery is produced with 100% Pinot Grigio grapes grown in the Prepotto area. The winery is certified organic and the owners call themselves “bio in the soul”; The Lenuzza family firmly believes that “The earth does not belong only to us. It must be respected in order to be passed down from generation to generation”
THE WINEMAKING
After the manual harvest, the selected grapes are brought to the cellar for winemaking; the grapes macerate for two days on the skins; since Pinot Grigio is a red berried grape, during maceration, the skins give the wine its characteristic coppery colour. The must ferments in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature. The refinement continues in steel for 85% and large wooden barrels for the remaining 15%. The wine is then blended, bottled and left to rest in the cellar for a few months before being placed on the market.
THE TASTING
Very light pink; it almost looks like onion skin. The aroma is fruity with pleasant notes of apple that intertwine with hints of berries. Light on the palate, it is an easy-drinking wine with a remarkable correspondence between aromas and flavours.
FOOD PAIRINGS
It goes well with fish, shellfish, soft cheeses and vegetables. Try it for your aperitif.
