The Pinot Bianco from Doro Princic Winery represents an elegant and intense expression of the Collio terroir. This wine stands out for its ability to combine concentration and personality, even though it is exclusively vinified in steel. Since the 1950s, Doro Princic Winery has been dedicated to producing high-quality wines, contributing to the prestige of the great Friulian whites. The Pinot Bianco is an example of this tradition, offering a tasting experience that combines freshness and complexity.
The Winemaking
The Pinot Bianco is produced in the hilly area of Pradis, between Cormons and Capriva del Friuli, an ideal region for the pedoclimatic needs of this grape variety. The sunny yet cool and breezy climate, together with the day-night temperature variations, promotes a slow and gradual ripening of the grapes, preserving aromas of great finesse. The draining and mineral-rich soils, composed of Eocene marls of limestone and sandstone, are perfect for cultivating white grapes. Fermentation occurs in stainless steel tanks, followed by six months of aging on the fine lees, also in steel, to enhance the fresh and mineral characteristics of the wine.
Tasting the wine of the winery
Upon visual examination, Doro Princic’s Pinot Bianco presents a light and bright straw yellow color. The olfactory profile is elegant and complex, characterized by notes of white flowers, ripe fruit, citrus peels, and aromatic herbs, enriched by mineral nuances. On the palate, the wine is intense and harmonious, with a pleasant freshness accompanying the sip. The finish is savory and mineral, with an enveloping touch that invites further drinking.

Thanks to its balanced profile and versatility, Doro Princic’s Pinot Bianco is suitable for numerous gastronomic pairings. It is ideal with dishes based on fish, shellfish, and seafood, excellent with herb risottos or fresh and delicate cheeses. Its freshness and savoriness also make it perfect as an aperitif, elegantly accompanying light appetizers and spring salads.
