The Bianco of Cantina Magis
Bianco Magis represents a new interpretation of white wine from Friuli Venezia Giulia, born from the desire to explore new complexities and longevity. Cantina Magis has successfully combined tradition and innovation by blending Friulano, a native variety that tells the story of the region, with Chardonnay and Pinot Bianco, which speak an international language. The result is an elegant, fresh, and persistent wine capable of evolving over time while maintaining a firm and lively character. The first harvest in 2019 resulted in a product distinguished by its uniqueness and universality.
The Winemaking
The grapes for Bianco Magis were harvested separately based on the optimal ripening time for each variety. This meticulous approach ensures that each variety best expresses its characteristics. The grapes were vinified separately, with part of the wine aged in wooden barrels and the rest in stainless steel. The final blending took place in November, followed by bottling at the end of December. The wine was released to the market in March of the following year, after an aging period of about 12 months, allowing Bianco Magis to reach its full expression, thanks to an ingredient as precious as it is irreplaceable: time.
Tasting the wine of the winery
Bianco Magis presents a bright straw-yellow color. On the nose, it offers a complex bouquet with notes of ripe fruit, white flowers, and a hint of vanilla from barrel aging. On the palate, the wine is fresh and harmonious, with an elegant structure and a long aromatic persistence. It is advisable to serve it between 7 and 9 °C to fully appreciate its organoleptic qualities.
Food Pairings
The complexity of Bianco Magis makes it extremely versatile at the table. It pairs perfectly with 24-30 month aged San Daniele prosciutto, enhancing its sweetness and savoriness. It is also ideal with herb omelets, seafood risottos and pastas, as well as noble fish dishes of haute cuisine. This wine is an excellent companion for dishes that require elegance and refinement, amplifying the culinary experience with its distinctive character.
