The Winemaking
The harvest of Brunello Poggio all’Oro takes place under ideal climatic conditions. The rainy spring and cooler temperatures slow down vegetative development, allowing for a gradual and perfect ripening of the grapes. During the summer, the climate provides stable temperatures with excellent thermal excursions and sporadic rains, promoting optimal maturation. The picking is done with great care in selecting the grapes both in the vineyard and in the winery. Fermentation occurs at controlled temperatures in combined steel and French oak tanks, followed by aging for at least 30 months, with 80% in French oak barrels and 20% in French oak barriques.
