THE WINE
The Langhe Rosso Quatr Nas from the Rocche dei Manzoni winery is a blend of Nebbiolo, Pinot Nero, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot grapes grown in the vineyards owned by the winery; they are all located in Monforte d’Alba in the province of Cuneo.
After the manual harvest, only carefully selected grapes are brought to the cellar. The winemaking takes place in steel where the grapes macerate on the skins for about 14 days at controlled temperatures. The refinement, on the other hand, lasts about 24 months and takes place in oak barrels. After blending and bottling, the wine rests for 6 months in the cellar before being placed on the market.
Intense ruby red. The aroma is intense and delicate with pleasant floral scents that alternate with notes of red fruit to close with pleasant spicy hints. Elegant and well structured on the palate; the tannins are well present but silky and well polished. Excellent persistence.
It goes well with red meats, hard cheeses but also with game.
