THE WINE
The Brunello di Montalcino “Vigneti del Versante” from Pian dell’Orino winery is produced with 100% Sangiovese grapes grown in the best plots owned by the winery itself. We are talking, without a shadow of a doubt, of one of the flagships of the winery that stands out at worldwide level for its quality.
The grapes are carefully selected during the manual harvest and only the perfect ones pass through the doors of the cellar. Fermentation takes place spontaneously, without the use of any external help but only through indigenous yeasts, at a controlled temperature that never exceeds 31 ° C. The wine then ages for 55 months in small (25 liters) Slovenian oak barrels. It is important to know that during the aging process, in order to maintain the authentic flavor of the vineyards and of the vintage, no type of technological additive is added to the wine. After bottling, the wine rests another 24 months in the cellar before being ready for the market.
Garnet red. The aroma is extremely elegant with notes of plum and cherries jams that leave room for hints of sweet spices and vanilla obtained thanks to all the months spent in wood. Balanced and refined on the palate. It is a classy wine with soft and silky tannins and a very long finish that never ends. Definitely a wine that makes you dream!
It goes well with red meats, game and hard cheeses. We would also recommend it as a meditation wine.
