The Vermentino Etichetta Nera from the Lunae Bosoni winery
The Vermentino Etichetta Nera (Black Label) from the Lunae Bosoni winery comes from carefully selected Vermentino grapes. These are grapes coming from the parcels owned by the winery, which offer the best organoleptic potential. Black Label was first produced in 1992 after a long research. Lunae Bosoni wanted to make the world aware of the potential and quality of this vine which is so important for Liguria. Mission accomplished, a rich and complex wine that fully represents the qualities of Vermentino.
The Winemaking
The harvest is strictly manual and takes place in the early hours when the temperature is still quite cool; once in the cellar, the winemaking begins with a cold maceration on the skins of about eight hours. Fermentation occurs in stainless steel; the wine ages in steel, on the fine lees, for at least four months. After blending and bottling, the wine rests for a few more months in the cellar before being released on the market.
Tasting the wine of the winery
Straw yellow; the aroma is intense with pleasant fruity notes where peach and apricot prevail, leaving room for floral hints of acacia flowers to close with salty scents and balsamic puffs. Fresh on the palate, broad and rounded, and well balanced with a pleasant savory note. Excellent correspondence between aromas and flavor with a long and persistent finish.
Food Pairings
Perfect with both cooked and raw fish. Try it with mixed frying but also with salmon tartare.
