The Ciliegiolo from the Lunae Bosoni winery
The Ciliegiolo from the Lunae Bosoni winery comes from Ciliegiolo grapes grown in the only Ciliegiolo vineyard owned by the winery in the Luni plain. A vineyard of about three hectares, nestled between the Apuan Alps at about 15 km and the sea breeze just 3 km away. This Ciliegiolo is a fresh wine with pleasantly silky tannins that goes well with summer dinners with friends and family.
The Winemaking
The harvest is strictly manual; once in the cellar, the winemaking begins with a maceration on the skins that lasts about three days. Fermentation occurs in stainless steel; the wine ages in steel for a period that varies depending on the vintage. After blending and bottling, the wine rests for a few more months in the cellar before being released on the market.
Tasting the wine of the winery
Pale ruby red, the aroma is pleasant, fruity with notes of cherry that intertwine with raspberries and blueberries, to continue with floral scents and balsamic puffs. On the finish, there are spicy hints of black pepper. Pleasantly fresh on the palate with sweet and silky tannins. This Ciliegiolo from the Lunae Bosoni winery is well-balanced with a long and persistent finish.
Food Pairings
It goes well with red meats and medium-hard cheeses but also with cold cuts.
