THE WINE

The classic method Talento Brut silver label from the Pittaro winery is a quality sparkling wine. Produced with Chardonnay (80%) and Pinot Blanc (20%) grapes grown on the Grave plains of Friuli where the alluvial soil is poor but particularly suitable for growing vines.

THE WINEMAKING

The harvest, strictly manual, takes place at the end of August and once in the cellar, the winemaking starts with the soft pressing of the grapes.  For the majority of the must, the fermentation takes place at controlled temperature and the wine stays in steel until bottling. A small percentage of Pinot Blanc is fermented in barriques. The assembly of the cuvée is done at the end of the winter and bottling happens in the late following spring. Once bottled, the wine refines “sur lie” for at least 30 months. After the “remuage” and “degorgement” phases, the wine rests at least 2 months in the cellar before being placed on the market. The disgorgement date is indicated on the label with the month and year.

THE TASTING

Pale straw yellow color with a fine and persistent perlage. The aroma is delicate with pleasant exotic fruit notes that intertwine well with hints of bread crust and delicate dry fruit puffs. Fresh and well balanced on the palate, This is a wine of good structure. Harmonious and persistent.

FOOD PAIRINGS

Perfect as an aperitif, it goes well with fish even raw. Must try with Japanese tempura.
