What is a tasting kit?
Tasting kit: each wine has its characteristics and nuances. Even wines made from the same grapes differ on the palate because many factors influence wine. Climatic factors include the vineyard’s location, the climate, the amount of rain fallen or drought and so on. Then, each winery works differently, with different winemaking times, ageing times, etc.
This is why we thought of creating tasting packages that allow you to discover these differences and, why not, will help you understand which is your favourite wine.
It can also be a fun-tasting night to do with friends.
This volume 1 of the blends is dedicated to the region Friuli Venezia Giulia. We have chosen to offer you three wineries full of passion and quality.
Wines included in the kit
Mirnik Rosso – Ferruccio Sgubin
The wine is an intense ruby-red colour. The aroma immediately reveals red fruit, with cherry being the dominant note, along with hints of jam and a backdrop of sweet spices with undertones of vanilla and cocoa powder. On the palate, it is soft and fresh, featuring well-polished tannins. The flavours are intense, with an excellent correspondence between the aromas and the taste. The finish is long and pleasantly persistent. additional info here
Collio DOC – Rosso – Picech
Brilliant ruby red. The aroma is pleasant, with fruity notes of red fruits such as blackcurrants and berries that leave room for hints of cassis. It is harmonious well structured on the palate with a lovely savoury note. The tannins of this Rosso from the Picech winery are still a bit rough because they are young. Excellent persistence. additional info here
