The Refosco Dal Peduncolo Rosso Martagona from the Monviert winery comes from 100% Refosco grapes grown near Cividale in Friuli Venezia Giulia.

The Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso is one of the most renowned native Friulian red grape wines. Its fame dates back to the 1700s and has continued to gain popularity over the past few decades.

THE WINEMAKING

The harvest is strictly manual. Once in the cellar, after delicately destemming the grapes, we proceed with maceration for a period of between 4 and 6 days to guarantee optimal extraction of the colouring, tannic and aromatic components from the grape skins. Once fermentation is complete, the wine refines in stainless steel tanks for 3-4 months. Subsequently, after blending and bottling, the wine rests in the cellar for a few months before being introduced onto the market.

Tasting the wine of Monviert

A beautiful, intense ruby red colour; the aromas include pleasant fruity notes of black cherries alternating with blackberry and raspberry. On the palate, it is soft, dry and harmonious, with a balanced correspondence between aroma and flavour. Persistent.
