The wine Nebbiolo Marghe from Damilano winery
The Nebbiolo Marghe from the Damilano winery is produced with 100% Nebbiolo grapes grown in the vineyards owned by the winery that are located in the historic areas of the Langhe; this is for sure the wine that best represents this territory.
The Winemaking
After harvesting, the selected grapes are taken to the cellar for winemaking which takes place in steel tanks at a controlled temperature. The wine then ages for at least 12 months in oak barrels and after bottling, it rests for another 12 months in the cellar.
Tasting the Nebbiolo
Bright ruby red. The aroma is intense and elegant with pleasant notes of red fruits that alternate well with hints of undergrowth, to close with pleasant spicy notes. Soft and fresh on the palate with silky tannins and a long and persistent finish.
Food Paring
It goes well with roast beef and braised meats but also with hard cheeses. Must try with mushroom risotto.
