The Cuvée Number 60 Sparkling Wine from Equipe5 Winery
The Cuvée Number 60 sparkling wine from Equipe5 Winery is a blend of Chardonnay grapes (80%) and Pinot Noir grapes (20%). These grapes are grown in the winery’s vineyards located on the Soave hills at 400 to 600 meters above sea level.
This special cuvée has been created to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the winery, which has been renowned for producing famous and prestigious classic-method sparkling wines for six decades, both nationally and internationally.
The Winemaking
The grape harvest is manual; only the selected bunches go to the winery for winemaking. The process begins with a gentle pressing of the grapes. Fermentation occurs in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature. After fermentation, the wine is bottled with the yeast for secondary fermentation. The bottles are then stored in the cellars and left to age at a constant temperature for at least thirty-six months.
Tasting the wine by Equipe5
Cuvée Number 60 sparkles with a straw-yellow colour and golden reflections, displaying a fine and persistent perlage. On the nose, it is pleasantly fruity, featuring hints of apple and peach intertwined with notes of pastry and bread crust. The palate offers a fresh and creamy experience, with a lingering aftertaste that refreshes the palate.
Food Pairings
Cuvée Number 60 is perfect as an aperitif and pairs beautifully with fish, even raw and white meats. It’s especially delightful when enjoyed with fried fish.
THE WINERY
The winery was established in 1964 by five talented oenologists from Trentino. Their passion lies in creating something unique, distinctive, and surprising; something that leaves a lasting impression. Their intuition has proven successful, leading to the immediate popularity of an appealing sparkling wine characterized by fine and persistent bubbles.
