The Cabernet Vulpes of the Del Poggio winery is part of the Vulpes line; this line takes its name from the stream that crosses the property and recalls the presence of the typical animals of the Friulian hills, the foxes.

The winery cultivates its vineyards following the voluntarily integrated production specification of the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region, which aims to minimize technical means that impact the environment and promote a natural environmental balance.

THE WINEMAKING

The grape harvest is rigorously manual and takes place in October; The winemaking starts with a maceration on the skins, which lasts about eight days. The must then ferments in steel at a controlled temperature. After refinement, the wine is bottled and left to rest for few months in the cellar before being placed on the market.

Tasting the Cabernet by Azienda Del Poggio

Intense ruby red. The aroma is elegant, with pleasant hints of red fruits such as cherry, raspberry and blackberry, which leave room for herbaceous sensations. This wine is fresh and light on the palate, with excellent correspondence between aromas and flavour.
