THE PRODUCT

The Demerara 14 Rum Nation is a sweet and robust rum that ages for 14 years, but don’t be fooled because its sweet side is contrasted by a dark and toasty character.

The Nation project is an idea of the winemaker Fabio Rossi, who loves to select different Caribbean Rum barrels and then personally takes care of both the refinement and the bottling.

Deep orange, almost chestnut honey in color. The scent of sweet molasses stands out, alternating with notes of musk, toasted note and slightly sour hints of vinous. On the palate its dark sweetness recalls the muscovado sugar, but you can perceive also chestnuts.

It continues with dark chocolate, raisins, a hint of fermented fruit, but, above all an intense sweetened coffee flavor. As for the aftertaste, the Demerara 14 is sweet and dense, with a slightly musky note. There is. also a vinous influence given by the refinement in sherry barrels.

To be tasted with 80% dark chocolate, which is ideal for countering sweet and powerful rums. We suggest the 74% Extra Dark.
