Le Due Terre
The passion for wine
The Le Due Terre winery was born in 1984 when Flavio Basilicata and Silvana Forte after various experiences in different wineries decided to found their own. They buy 4 hectares of land in the Porpetto area in Friuli Venezia Giulia and start their adventure from scratch. They begin by planting the vines and after four years they build the cellar which is also their home. Since then they have lived there taking care of their vineyards and producing a wine that in few years has become one of the protagonists in the Friulian wine scene.
The winery takes its name ” Le Due Terre” (The two lands) from the land on which it stands, in fact on one side there are the red lands while on the other the marls and therefore Le Due Terre different from each other. Flavio personally takes care of the vine which by choice of the owners has not extended and has remained of 4 hectares. In the vineyard, the cultivation is organic, no fertilizers, herbicides, anti-pesticides or pesticides are used and this philosophy is also practiced in the cellar where spontaneous fermentation is applied without the addition of yeasts and chemical aids.
A cellar that is worth visiting, both for the quality of its wines and for the beauty of the place. An oasis of tranquility in this busy world
