The Wine
This FFFF which is Friulano from the Vigna Lenuzza winery is one of the four wines part of the Indigenously line. This line has only autochthonous Prepotto vines in Friuli Venezia-Giulia, which grow in autochthonous terroirs, with minimal interventions and with biological agriculture. The cellar has chosen to macerate and mature these wines in “eggs” concrete tanks to enhance their expressions unique to the grape varieties.
The winery is certified organic and the owners call themselves “bio in the soul”; The Lenuzza family firmly believes that “The earth does not belong only to us. It must be respected in order to be passed down from generation to generation”
THE WINEMAKING
After the manual harvest, the selected grapes are brought to the cellar for winemaking; the grapes macerate for seven days in “eggs” concrete tanks. The wine then ages for twelve months in truncated cone-shaped concrete vats. After blending and bottling, the wine rests for a few months in the cellar before being placed on the market.
THE TASTING
Straw yellow with golden reflections. The aroma is elegant, with pleasant floral notes that intertwine with sweet scents of honey. Refined and very fresh on the palate with a good mineral note. this is a well balanced wine with a long finish.
